Time’s Up on imbalance of power. For all individuals across all industries…we are working together in unity. #timesup @timesupnow » Retrouvez la photo dans la galerie.

As planned, Emma Stone will be attending the Golden Globes tonight as a nominee and a presenter (with Shirley MacLaine) for Best Actor in a Comedy or a Musical. As a member of Time’s Up, Emma will bring with her an activist, like other actresses, and Emma’s will be… Billie Jean King ! Emma is also doing the #whywewearblack movement which supports victims of sexual harassment. So tonight, Emma will be wearing black.

Earlier today, actress Laura Dern posted on instagram a group picture (including Emma) : « Time’s Up on imbalance of power. For all individuals across all industries…we are working together in unity. #timesup @timesupnow » The picture is in the gallery.

Bonne année 2018 ! Bonne nouvelle, Emma et son amie Jennifer Lawrence posent pour le numéro de janvier du magazine W, dans le cadre des Best Performances. Une partie de l’interview est consacrée à Emma :

Happy new year ! Good news, Emma and her friend Jennifer Lawrence are posing for the January issue of the W Magazine about the Best Performances. A part of the interview is dedicated to Emma :

« Jennifer Lawrence and I both had the same stalker, John the Orchestra Guy. He would text us both and say things like ‘I’m running late on my way to the soundstage. Can you warm up the orchestra for me? Text me back and let me know you got this.’ He wasn’t really a stalker. He must have worked at a studio or something, because he had a lot of people’s numbers. Jen and I texted for a year before we actually met. As she was driving to my house, she thought, Oh, my God, what if it’s John the Orchestra Guy? And I thought, Oh, my God, what if it’s John the Orchestra Guy? So Jen calls me and says, ‘I just want to make sure you’re not John the Orchestra Guy.’ I wasn’t. And we met. It’s our adorable love story. »

The initiative, announced with a full-page ad in the New York Times, includes a $13m legal defense fund to help women in less privileged professions protect themselves from sexual misconduct and the consequences that may arise from reporting it.

Entitled Time’s Up, the programme was launched with an open letter signed by hundreds of women in show business, including Ashley Judd, Eva Longoria, America Ferrera, Rashida Jones and Kerry Washington, as well as powerful backroom Hollywood figures, including producer Shonda Rhimes, whose credits include Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal.

“The struggle for women to break in, to rise up the ranks and to simply be heard and acknowledged in male-dominated workplaces must end; time’s up on this impenetrable monopoly,” part of the letter reads.

“If this group of women can’t fight for a model for other women who don’t have as much power and privilege, then who can?” Rhimes told the New York Times.

In a sense, Time’s Up is being launched as a companion to the #MeToo movement that grew out of the spontaneous response to revelations about Hollywood’s “casting-couch” system of sexual predation and enduring gender-pay disparities.

Emma Stone personally gave 50, 000$ to Time’s Up.
